I listen to URP on a daily basis. I credit these guys not only with teaching me a TON about ultra running, but also with normalizing the notion of running something like 50 or 100 mile events. Granted, I still haven't completed either of those distances, but thanks to URP I know that it's really possible and not at all super-human!
The Oatmeal's real name is Matthew and he lives in Seattle, Washington. He subsists on a steady diet of crickets and whiskey. He enjoys long walks on the beach, gravity, and breathing heavily through his mouth. His dislikes include scurvy, typhoons, and tapeworm medication.
Kendrick Callaway is an ultra-runner, climber, and all-around good guy. I'd say he's based out of Boulder, CO, but he's constantly running all over the western hemisphere. The dude is a machine, and inspires me to run further & climb higher.
Kristen loves to have a good time while she stays active and healthy. She has no ambition to eat salads all day long and kill herself at the gym. Her weekends are usually full of new restaurants, Netflix binges, and craft beer. Follow her on her journey of trying to find a balance between being fit and having fun!
I credit Jeff's run/walk/run method for helping me train up for my first marathon back in 2013. If you're looking to work your way up to longer distances but don't know where to start, check out his blog and his books!
